Pakistan is the most important country in current situation regarding "war against Terrorism". This importance is not only due to being Non-NATO ally of USA but also to its location in the region. What will happen with this beautiful country in future? Scholars are trying to make pen picture on the basis of their observation and thoughts. Not only Pakistani intellectuals but also foreigners as well, are contributing in this regard. This outer situation is also important but inside the country some voices are more significant. Every Patriotic person is hearing them. What types of slogans are raised by country men, politicians, national leaders and ministers etc? If and then, me and you, Our and Their, what is this going on? Who are leaders and masterminds behind these tactics? Is Pakistan going back to 70s? History is a sequence of events made by people themselves, so we cannot change its proven status of events. One famous political leader who was very sharp minded and influenced personality. He rose first time this kind of slogan "Idher ham - Udhar Tum" and its consequence was that Pakistan got divided.
Muqarrab Akbar, in his article named Pakistan's foreign policy; internal challenges in millennium, describes very important issue in these words "Historian Paul Kennedy named Pakistan as one of the nine pivotal states whose future evolution would not only determine the fate of their region, but also affect international stability. He maintains in his article in the Foreign Affairs Quarterly that "progress by a pivotal state such as Pakistan would help not only the region but also promote US interests in trade and in investment" word pivotal state is keyword which indicate Pakistan as a Fundamental state, of course Pakistan is, but we are responsible state too.
Another point in the article is "international stability", though words are international stability but in truth it meant stability of US not of others, as it can be seen from the US track record and its recent policy in which she cares only for herself without keeping the interests of Pakistan or other countries in view. Latest news also supports this argument which says "we will fight with American enemies even without Pakistan" this response statement is given on Drone attack’s issue. Beside this, US is also pursuing its hidden agenda and ulterior goals through other means, even at the cost of her “allies”. Raymond Devis, an American spy, working on some hidden agenda. What type of mission and objective Davis had, Though that’s cannot be said by surety, but whatever he was doing and pursuing that was certainly not in the interest of Pakistan and it was being pursued without information and permission of the Pakistan.
On other side look at their alternative planes that are only for protection of US stability in south but as well as in whole world. Black Water & Ze are working for US. It means US have opportunities to fulfill its goals by 'other' means. Key word is opportunities. Strong and peaceful Pakistan is not in favor of US. Every county has its own goals and aims. Country’s foreign policy, diplomacy and other tools could be used in achieving its fundamental goals. Complex inter-dependency, international relations, describe about state limits with non-state actors who have very important role in relationships of state with other states. State is not the only actor but also there are other non-state actors here, in the form of NGOs, corporations, multination companies and groups. These non-state actors have unique character in there 'limits'. Is there any role of these actors in current situation? If yes then what are?
Stability of country, naturally link with internal situation of state. State get strengthen due to its citizens, strong institutions and co-operation among them. Let think, What about maps of Pakistan on internet? What they are indicating? Go in past and think, was there any question regarding provisional division except Jinah Pur? And that was also a plan of Indian RAW with the help of some political nationalist organizations. After changing the name of NWFP into KPK, suddenly voices are surrounding the whole country, which indicate that something surprising is going to happen in near future. Of course, without long term planning, no state gets its desired aims, high profile fundamental rights and status in world politics. Similarly, super power America trying to uphold its superagency as there are other emerging countries competing in current era, which are a strong threat to American economy. China is most powerful among those emerging countries not only in the sense of economy but also in militarily. So in this regard Gawader Port in Baluchistan is one important way to boost up the Chinese economy.
Bulk Natural resources are covered in our beloved land. Every part of Pakistan is too much rich in its natural resources, and central government is not sincere to dig up them in favor of its citizens. Another side distribution of resources is also having question marks. These gaps and laps cause classes division in society at large scale. State is responsibility to provide foods, security, job opportunities, shelter and other handmade services to its citizens. In this condition of state Pakistan is not providing handmade services to its citizens. People are minty disturb and they confuse about their future. High youth ratio is here (very important asset for country) but plane to utilization. Any group or state can get benefits by using this asset. This is actually opportunity for our own otherwise for enemy of Pakistan.
In current scenario of international politics and as well as due to our internal situation, where our army is busy in so called War against terrorism lunched by US and her allies (NATO, UN). Nothing will mold our leaders thinking about country’s internal issues and problems by which they do something to resolve them immediately until their own interests is save. As we can observe this from the last by-election result, PML (Q) candidate won while there was also PPP and PML (N) candidates present. Why? One obvious reason among others is that PML Q has 'Saraiki Suba' as one of their points in their manifesto. Result hit the thoughts of rolling parties leaders in counter they all made themselves a voice of people by supporting their demands. Now every small member party is crying for their fundamental rights. Who teach them about holding right by this way? Is this time suitable for 'Suba Movements'? Count down and follow all steps which will lead the situation after any new suba announcement. What answer you have for Muhajers, Potohar etc suba movements? Who will benefited by this, People or hidden hands?
In time magazine (April 13, 2011) Joe Klein have post named "Is Pakistan our ally?" he wrote his opinion as "The threat of an Islamist coup is very real--and we should be doing everything we can to prevent that." Farther more he mentioned as "Meanwhile, I certainly hope the CIA continues its efforts to penetrate all terrorist groups, even those run by our nominal allies" of course, according to mechiavili thought, which is always play dominant role in westerns politicians, that is 'Friend of enemy is best friend' so they are playing with us by indirect way. Huge funding is drained to these movements. Internal weakness is playing a vital role to destruction of even a strong country.
For more close observations consider social, economics, management factors and try to determine alternatives of small provinces, where there your imagination get approaches, you might feel afraid, may be because of clashes between citizen. Saraiki will fight for D.G. Khan, Hazara people try to manage seperat province, Riasat Bahawal Pur declaration is also there. You might go step to fallow this chain of clashes. What will be future of people eco status? Land lords get strong positions due to lack of education in some areas while rest might get sandwiched between bureaucracy and other interested groups. At national level, there will be issues regarding distribution of resources. As you feel, I am not talking about Blochistan where there might be conflict between Bloch and Pakhton. What about Sindh, where there Muhajeer and Sindhi movements already existing.
At the end of my value less story, as some consider like it, I want to clear one thing. History is there, in which all those who are involve in destruction of our beloved country, remembered in black words and will continue to be remembered as such forever. Your next generation will keep you in their town stories as a Ghaddar.
Our intellectuals, scholars and leaders are feeling that Pakistan needs more provinces administratively, so then this should be purely on the basis of administrative convenience and not on the basis of vestige interests and benefits of few people or states. Ethnicity is not fruitful for Pakistan. My recommendation is following. A national commission may be constituted for this matter. Commission, study the whole situation deeply and then propose the recommendations. If it come up to the conclusion that new provinces are necessary then it should do the whole homework for the new provinces, keeping in view national interest. Commission should make steps that will help to peaceful creation of new province(s). These steps will guide us towards the path of new provinces(s) according to the socio-economic requirements of certain area. After all relevant work done by commission recommendations should be made public for open discussion to make it more powerful. During commission working time, scholars and leaders may give their opinions to the commission by letters or other correspondences. There should be imposed a complete ban on demonstration, rallies and protests for new provinces. This is the roadmap in my view which will resolve the whole matter and make us focus on the real issues on fronting our country.
